Rental terms
These are the terms of the contract you will sign. They are written here in everyday language, in the same order, so that nothing comes as a surprise when you collect the keys.
1. Who can rent
- Minimum age: 21 for the whole fleet, 25 for luxury cars.
- A valid driving licence, held for at least 1 year. A national licence is enough if it is written in the Latin alphabet.
- An ID card or passport, shown when the contract is drawn up.
- The second driver is free, but must be named on the contract and meet the same conditions. A driver who is not named is not insured.
2. Booking and payment
- No prepayment is required. Your booking is confirmed in writing on WhatsApp or by email, with the total price.
- You pay when you collect the keys, in cash (dirhams, or euros at the day’s rate) or by card.
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pick-up, with no reason needed.
- If you do not turn up and have not cancelled, nothing is owed, but the car is released.
3. Deposit and excess
- A deposit of 10,000 MAD (about €930) to 35,000 MAD (about €3,240) depending on the car, shown for every car before you book.
- The deposit is left in cash or as a card pre-authorisation. It is never cashed.
- It is returned in full on the day you drop off, on the spot, after a joint vehicle check with you present. For a card pre-authorisation, your bank may take a few days to release the amount.
- The excess for damage you cause equals the deposit. The zero-excess option (100 MAD a day) removes it, broken glass included.
- A no-deposit option is available on most of the fleet.
4. Using the car
- Unlimited mileage throughout Morocco.
- Two-wheel-drive cars must not be driven on unpaved tracks: no damage caused there is covered.
- Taking the car out of Morocco is not allowed without prior written permission.
- The car may not be sublet, used to carry paying passengers or goods, or entered in any competition.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is forbidden and would void all cover.
5. Fuel, servicing and breakdowns
- Fuel policy: full to full. The car is handed over with a full tank and must come back full; otherwise the missing fuel is charged at the pump price, with no service fee.
- Routine servicing, oil changes, the roadworthiness test and insurance are paid by us.
- 24-hour assistance and breakdown recovery are included. If the car is off the road, you get a replacement of the same category, or the unused days are refunded.
- Tyres, wheels, windows and underbody remain the renter’s responsibility, except broken glass with the zero-excess option.
6. Accidents, theft and fines
- Any accident must be reported to us immediately. If another party is involved, a police report is required for the insurance to pay out.
- In the event of theft, cover depends on the keys and the car’s papers being returned.
- Traffic offences committed during the rental are the renter’s responsibility. We forward them with the official report, with no admin fee.
7. Delivery and return
- Free delivery and collection at Marrakech Menara airport (6 am to midnight), at your hotel, your riad or any address you choose, within Marrakech.
- Night meet-and-greet between midnight and 6 am: a contribution of 150 MAD (about €14), stated before you book.
- Return in another city: possible, on a prior quote.
- Returning the car more than two hours late means an extra day is charged, at the contract rate.
