Car rental at Marrakech Menara airport
You land at Menara (airport code RAK) and want to drive off without an hour at a counter, without an “airport supplement” sprung on you as you sign, and without leaving a deposit nobody told you about. Here is exactly how it works with us.

From landing to keys, in four steps

You send us your flight number
When you book. It is the only thing we need to follow your arrival: we check the actual landing time on the day, and adjust to any delay without you having to tell us.

We wait for you in the arrivals hall
After customs, on the exit side. A sign with your name, and a team member you can reach on the number already in your WhatsApp. If your phone has no signal as you come out, the airport wifi is enough to message us.

Vehicle check in the car park, 200 metres away
The car is parked in the visitor car park opposite Terminal 1. We walk round it with you taking photos, you sign the contract and get the keys. Allow fifteen minutes.

When you leave, the same in reverse
You bring the car back to the same place, two hours before your flight if you want to be relaxed about it. Vehicle check, deposit returned on the spot, and you walk into the terminal.
What to have on you when you get off the plane
- The main driver’s valid driving licence
- Your passport or national ID card, to draw up the contract
- The deposit in cash, or a card in the driver’s name
- Our team’s WhatsApp number, already saved
What we will not ask you for
- No prepayment or deposit by bank transfer before you arrive
- No International Driving Permit to sign the contract if your licence is in the Latin alphabet (UK drivers: carry the 1968 IDP on the road)
- No extra insurance pushed on you at the counter
- No admin, cleaning or “handover” fee

Questions about airport car rental
Is delivery to Marrakech Menara airport free?
Yes, it is free, both ways, 7 days a week from 6 am to midnight. No “airport fee”, no counter surcharge: that is exactly the extra most rental companies add, and we have chosen not to charge it.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight number. A three-hour delay changes nothing: the car waits for you, with no waiting charge. Just let us know on WhatsApp if your flight is diverted to another airport.
Do you meet night flights?
Yes, up to midnight at no extra cost. If you land between midnight and 6 am, let us know: we arrange the meet-and-greet, with a 150 MAD (about €14) contribution for the night call-out, stated before you book.
Where exactly is the meeting point?
In the Terminal 1 arrivals hall, after passport control and baggage reclaim, on the right-hand side of the exit. We send you a photo of the meeting point the day before you arrive.
Can I collect the car at the airport and return it in town?
Yes, at no cost, at your hotel, your riad or your apartment. The reverse works too. Only a return in a city other than Marrakech is quoted separately.
Do I need an International Driving Permit when I land?
Not to rent from us: your national licence is enough if it is written in the Latin alphabet. UK licence holders are the exception: the UK government asks them to carry the 1968 International Driving Permit (bought in the UK before departure) together with their licence. See driving in Morocco. You must be at least 21 and have held your licence for at least 1 year. Keep your passport with you: we need it to draw up the contract.
What deposit do you ask for at the airport?
The same as anywhere else in Marrakech, with no mark-up: from 10,000 MAD (about €930) for a city car to 35,000 MAD (about €3,240) for a luxury car, in cash or by card pre-authorisation. It is returned the day you drop off, on the spot, after the vehicle check; for a card pre-authorisation, your bank may take a few days to release the amount. See deposit and insurance.
