Car rental with a driver in Marrakech
A wedding, a business meeting, a group of eight to take from the airport to the riad, or simply wanting to see the Atlas without being behind the wheel: a driver is an option, on request, added to the car. The price is easy to work out, and this page tells you what is still settled in the quote.

How much does a car with a driver cost?
The car’s price on our rate card (insurance, unlimited mileage and tax included), plus 400 MAD (about €37) a day for the driver. The car’s daily rate drops from three days; the driver’s stays the same. The driver takes a seat: a nine-seater carries eight passengers.

When is a driver worth it?
A wedding or an event
This is the most frequent request. The Mercedes-Benz Classe C is the model our customers ask for most for a wedding: with a driver in a suit, the event day is quoted to measure. For a wedding procession, the Mercedes-Benz Classe C Cabriolet convertible can also come with a driver, roof down. And the Mercedes-Benz Vito with a driver is the set-up event agencies ask for most.
A business trip
The Volkswagen Passat is our business saloon: quiet, smart, with a 586-litre boot. With a driver, it is much in demand for airport transfers and business travel. A VAT invoice is available for companies; see the Volkswagen Passat page (in French).
An airport transfer
For a group landing at Menara, the Hyundai H1 with a driver is the most requested set-up: eight passengers, 6 large suitcases, and nobody trying to find the way out of the airport. A day trip without driving
Mileage is unlimited anywhere in Morocco: your driver can take you to Essaouira (about 180 km, 2 hr 30 min to 3 hr), to the Ouzoud waterfalls (150 to 165 km, 2 hr 30 min to 3 hr 30 min) or to Ouarzazate (about 200 km, 3 hr 30 min to 4 hr) over the Tizi n’Tichka, a pass signposted at 2,260 m, where the hairpin bends wear out whoever is driving and snow can close the road between December and March. The Mercedes S-Class: the car people rent with a driver
It is the limousine of the fleet, designed for the back seat as much as for the wheel: reclining rear seats with massage, AIRMATIC air suspension, and soundproofing that makes the outside world almost disappear. It is almost always rented with a driver, for a VIP transfer, a wedding or an official visit. With a driver, a day comes to 3,810 MAD (about €350).
Availability is limited: a firm booking is needed at least one week ahead. Without a driver, the deposit is 35,000 MAD (about €3,240) and whoever drives must be at least 25, as for all our luxury cars. With our driver, that age rule applies to the person at the wheel; the deposit required is confirmed in the quote.

What the written quote sets out
The car’s price and the driver’s are public. Other points depend on your plans; we do not guess them, we write them into the quote before you book:
- The driver’s hours and the length of the day, and what happens if your plans overrun.
- Fuel: full to full as with a self-drive rental, or included in a set price.
- The driver’s meals and, for a trip with a night away from Marrakech, their accommodation.
- Any tolls and car parks, for example on the motorway to Agadir.
- The price of a simple transfer or half a day, shorter than a full day.
With a driver, or driving yourself?
To be straight with you: a couple visiting Essaouira does not need a driver. The road is simple, and a city car such as the Changan Alsvin costs 340 MAD (about €31) a day, against 990 MAD (about €92) for our cheapest saloon with a driver. A driver comes into its own when the car is part of the occasion, when you need to work or host guests on the way, when there are eight of you, or when nobody in the group wants to drive in town. It also solves parking: a minibus like the Hyundai H1 fits neither most underground car parks nor the lanes of the medina, and that becomes the driver’s job. With a driver, the Renault Trafic’s manual gearbox is no longer your concern: only its 900-litre boot matters. Deposit and insurance questions are answered on our deposit and insurance page.
Questions about renting a car with a driver
How much is a car with a driver in Marrakech?
The driver costs 400 MAD (about €37) a day, on top of the car’s rental price. With the Škoda Octavia, a day comes to 990 MAD (about €92); with the Hyundai H1 for a group, 1,620 MAD (about €150). Fuel and the driver’s costs outside Marrakech are set out in the written quote.
Does the driver speak English?
Our drivers speak French, and an English-speaking driver can be arranged, especially with our premium cars. Say which language you need in your message: we confirm it with the quote.
Can I hire a car with a driver for a wedding?
Yes, it is one of our most frequent requests. The Mercedes-Benz Classe C with a driver in a suit is quoted to measure. With the Mercedes-Benz Classe S (S-Class), the day includes a driver in a suit and a prepared car, decorated if you supply the decorations.
Are fuel and the driver’s meals included?
The option price covers the driver. How fuel, meals and, for a trip with an overnight stay, the driver’s accommodation are handled is set out in writing in the quote, before you book. Nothing is added afterwards.
Can I rent the Mercedes S-Class without a driver?
Yes, but it is almost always rented with a driver. Without one, the deposit is 35,000 MAD (about €3,240) and the driver must be at least 25. Either way, a firm booking is needed at least one week ahead.
Can the driver take us to Essaouira or the Atlas?
Yes: mileage is unlimited anywhere in Morocco. For a day in Essaouira, allow about 180 km and 2 hr 30 min to 3 hr each way. For a trip with a night away from Marrakech, mention it in your first message: the driver’s accommodation is part of the quote.
